Calamity Kut Teh

I'm in a little bit of a predicament here.

So [removed] said that he currently has enough staff for his other shops. The earliest he'd need me is after the 20th this month.

Problem is I feel there is a conspiracy against me at work and it's gaining wind. Before this, I admit that it could have been a figment of my imagination but now I'm quite certain of it.

In line with my company's other weird policies, when you don't work, you don't get paid. Doesn't matter if you're a full timer. And another weird policy is that everyone would only know what they're schedule is like the next day one day beforehand.

In short, when you work for LC, you're not only expected, but also very much required to surrender your life to the company. They not only pay you for your expertise, for their money, they also own your soul. You're that cheap.

It's tough to plan our lives out a few days ahead.

For instance, I only got to know I was to have the day off yesterday on Sunday, I just got up from bed yesterday only to receive a call from the office to inform me that I was gonna be off today too and I just got a call an hour ago to tell me that I'm off yet again tomorrow!

That's three days off in a row! It's madness! This amount of money could pay for the monthly allowance I give my mom!

Ishak doesn't like me and the bosses think I'm just an overpaid odd job labourer. I think they're trying to squeeze me out.

What am I to do?

Eid is coming, I gotta find a new pad within the next couple of weeks (can't expand more on this) and my new life at [removed] only begins November first.

What do I do between now and then for money? Who'd want to employ someone who's only available for a few weeks?
